Solo Music No. 1 for Unaccompanied Violoncello
Notes
In Nos. 1, 2, 5 and 6, the elements of the music were generated by a computer program, then converted to conventional musical notation.
The algorithms used to program the music are based on simple elements of musical texture (pitch, dynamics, duration, rhythm, articulation, etc.) in combination with simple structural elements.
Nos. 3 and 4 were freely composed.
Pitches with accidentals remain the same within a single measure. The continuation of an accidental within a measure applies only to identical notes and does not include octave displacements.
Nos. 1 and 2, and Nos. 5 and 6 are to be played without a break.
